I haven’t checked, but I don’t think “derivated” made the new edition of the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. However, the M-W lexiographers have green-lighted a bunch of new entries — “Chick Flick,” “Civil Union,” “Bikini Wax” and “Brain Freeze” are now official dictionary entries. (Hmmm, is green light a verb?)
