And a special howdy-do to those who arrived by way of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mediabistro.com\/galleycat\/\"><strong>GalleyCat <\/strong><\/a>(thank you, Ron) or <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/grumpyoldbookman.blogspot.com\"><strong>Grumpy Old Bookman<\/strong><\/a> (thank you, Michael Allen). I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve been this excited since I was blogrolled by <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/terryteachout.com\"><strong>Terry Teachout<\/strong><\/a> on June 13th of 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Music, books, good works, and other reasons for living \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s what this blog is about. In other words, whatever is on my mind \u00e2\u20ac\u201c snapshots of my life as a writer and a reader, a listener and a watcher, a wife and a daughter. The categories under which these musings, opinions, and commentary are filed include Boos &#038; Bravos, Notables, Hmmm\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6, Word Play, Writing Life, Reading Life, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m All Ears, Jazz Ears, Date Specific, and This \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 That. When I started out I on May 1, 2005 I was very good about posting five days a week, but in the last few months, working to launch the new projects at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/snapsizzlebop.com\"><strong>snapsizzlebop.com<\/strong><\/a>, I&#8217;ve been a bit less consistent. Getting back on track is one of my New Year&#8217;s resolutions.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I enabled the Comments feature on DevraDoWrite, and although I am getting thoroughly splogged (I believe that&#8217;s the new word for spamming a blog), the valid comments that come through make it worth it, so I welcome your comments and hope to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Holidays!<\/p>\n<p>ADDENDUM: If you&#8217;re visiting from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/onepotmeal.com\">OnePotMeal<\/a>, welcome to you too!
